This began as an attempt to meet with other women who felt compelled to pray for the lost. I wanted to pray for the lost children, my own included. Some lost to drugs and alcohol, others lost to who and what they are, some lost to earthy ways. Unable to put together a group that could meet on a regular basis, this blog began.
I am compelled on a daily basis to lift up those who are lost. How do I determine if they are lost? It just comes to me. I lift up my own children, friends children, people who work for me, anyone and everyone who appears lost.s
I feel we all are lost at times and all of us can use extra prayer at times. But I feel the children that are lost are our most important focus at this time.
God commands us to "pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward him for the life of your young children"(Lamentations 2:19) This appears to be a clear command that we are to passionately pray for our children.
With this verse in mind I begin tomorrow to meet with several other women to begin working through author Stormie Omartian's "The Power of a Praying Parent". We will lift up our children to the Lord and lift those who may not be our children but who are lost to the lord. We are all Gods children and sometimes we lose our way. Lets begin to pray on behalf of those who have become lost.
Do you know someone who is lost, a child who needs prayer? If so lift them up in this blog and join with us who are compelled to pray for the lost.
